I got a call out of the blue the other day to step in the studio for a bit with one of my good friend’s Dad’s friends to do one of the piano tunes off of the She Wants The World Acoustic EP titled: 88s And Heartbreak. I hadn’t had the chance to really practice performing it in a lil over a week or so, but I’m quite satisfied with the way this demo turned out.
Have you ever had a girl that you were just friends with, but she was extra cool and the 2 of you seemed to mesh so well? Only, she had a boyfriend that treat her like shit..and she would do everything that she could to hold on to him..and the worst part was, you never could say anything about how you really felt because that would overstep the boundaries of your “friendship”..yeah, it was something like that..
It was just me, a piano, and a microphone.. so of course some parts are a lil rough around the edges.. some of the dynamics were left out, and some of the voicings aren’t exactly as I wrote them, but only I would notice that..
